William “Bill” Foman was born in Washington, DC. He graduated from Johnson C. Smith University, cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in business & finance. Bill went on to the University of North Carolina School of Law, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where he received his Juris Doctorate Degree. Upon graduation from law school, Bill moved to South Florida and began his law career working as an Assistant State’s Attorney in West Palm Beach, Florida. During his time as a prosecutor, Bill handled dozens of jury trials and was ultimately promoted to a position supervising a domestic violence trial division. Since leaving the prosecutor’s office, Bill has spent the majority of his legal career and an insurance defense lawyer. Bill spent 7 years as in-house counsel for one of Florida largest automobile insurers. More recently, while working for private firms, Bill handled cases on behalf of several of Florida’s largest automobile insurance and property insurance carriers.
At Vernis & Bowling of Palm Beach, Bill’s practice is focused on defending individuals and business entities who are facing personal injury lawsuits. He handles all aspects of automobile accident and premises liability cases. From the initial stages of pleadings and discovery, up through depositions, dispositive motions and trial, Bill handles all aspects of insurance defense cases. As a defense attorney, Bill’s goal is to not only provided the client with the great legal representation, but to also ensure that the legal process if explained to the client in a manner which they can understand.
When not practicing law, Bill is first and foremost a family man who enjoys spending time with his wife and sons. Bill enjoys traveling, movies, and reading. He is also an avid volunteer with several local non—profit organizations and currently sits of the Boad of Directors for Clinics Can Help, an organization which provides free medical equipment to those in need.
