Marc is a New York native, growing up in New York City and then residing in Buffalo for 30 years before moving to Florida. After graduating from St. John’s University School of Law at the top of his class and serving as the Chief Justice of the Law School’s Moot Court program, Marc served as a confidential law clerk for United States District Judge John Elfvin in Buffalo for two years. He then joined a Washington, D.C. firm, concentrating on civil litigation and white-collar criminal defense. Marc then served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of New York defending the government in civil litigation and prosecuting federal offenses. After serving as Chief of the Arson Task Force and Chief of the Telemarketing Task Force, Marc was named Chief of White Collar and General Crime Division. His greatest satisfaction came from prosecuting more than 40 companies and 200 individuals who were defrauding elderly victims by use of unlawful telemarketing schemes. After 15 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Marc opened a civil practice concentrating on civil litigation and criminal defense. During that period, Marc taught an introduction to criminal law class at Canisius College and a white-collar crime course at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He also volunteered his time to assist children, their parents and others who were suffering from neurological illnesses navigate through the complex provisions of New York’s medical marijuana program. Thereafter, Marc joined a small firm in Buffalo where his practice was centered on insurance and municipality defense of tort claims. He enjoys the challenge of investigating the facts underlying each individual lawsuit and working with clients to develop a strong relationship to achieve results which are fair and satisfactory to them.
Marc and his wife and teenage daughters relocated to Naples, Florida to be closer to their family. Marc’s wife, Julie, is a yoga instructor and a glass artist creating jewelry and sculptures. His two daughters attend are in high school where they are members of the band and auxiliary team, performing with the flag squad during football games and in competitions throughout the state. Marc and his family enjoy attending local arts and crafts festivals and entertaining their two rescue dogs.
