Cory is a Florida native who was raised in the Tampa Bay Area. He graduated from The Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a minor in Law and Philosophy. He then attended Penn State Law where he earned his Juris Doctor. During law school, he was an active member of, and participant in, many student-governed organizations, including Phi Delta Phi and Phi Alpha Delta. Cory was awarded a Certificate of Recognition in Public Interest for his contributions.
Cory joined Vernis & Bowling having spent the first years of his career practicing in civil litigation across a wide range of practice areas. He spent several years working for the state government in and for Pinellas County, Florida. He has handled cases involving negligence, business disputes, construction defect, family law, probate, and more. Currently, Cory focuses his practice on construction law and construction defect litigation.
In his free time, Cory pursues an active lifestyle and prefers the company of his family and friends. He enjoys running, weightlifting, pickleball, and tennis, and you will find him outside when the weather is nice.
