Rachel is a civil litigation attorney in the St. Petersburg, FL office. Since joining Vernis & Bowling, Rachel primarily practices in the areas of auto liability defense, first and third-party property claims, and premises liability.
Rachel graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in health services administration and a minor in health sciences. She received her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law. During her time at Stetson, she interned at Gulfcoast Legal Services where she provided legal assistance in a variety of family law matters, including custody and divorce proceedings. She was also a member of the Student Leadership Development program and American Constitution Society. Prior to joining Vernis & Bowling, Rachel practiced litigation in probate, property disputes and estate matters.
As a defense attorney, Rachel strives to provide strategic, proactive, and cost-effective solutions based on the client’s objectives. She finds the practice of law very rewarding because it provides her with the opportunity to apply analytical skills and develop strategies that can impact clients in a meaningful way. Rachel enjoys helping clients navigate complex issues and thoroughly evaluate all aspects of a case to mitigate risks and efficiently resolve legal matters.
Rachel was raised on the east coast of Florida in New Smyrna Beach and has lived in St. Petersburg since 2018. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking nature trails with her dog, and fishing.
