Ryan is a Georgia native and three-time graduate of the University of Georgia. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 1993, Master’s Degree in Public Administration in 1997, and his Juris Doctorate in 2011. Ryan was in law enforcement for 13 years before returning to the University of Georgia for his law degree. He has primarily practiced workers’ compensation since earning his law degree in 2011.
Ryan manages and defends cases through all stages of the workers’ compensation process, from the initial determination of compensability through settlement. Additionally, Ryan has experience litigating cases at the hearing level and at various stages of appeal. Ryan has mediated well over 250 cases and has taken dozens to hearing.
Ryan’s goal as a defense attorney is to provide responsive advice to clients, offering strategies and innovative solutions to meet client’s objectives in workers’ compensation claims. Ryan values maximizing outcomes and minimizing costs to clients. Ryan has handled a wide variety of workers’ compensation claims for many industries, including food processing, retail, manufacturing, restaurant, nursing homes and construction.
Ryan is the proud father of two daughters; the oldest is a freshman in college and the youngest a junior in high school. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, exercise, and cooking/grilling on his Big Green Egg. As you can expect, Ryan is an avid fan of University of Georgia sports.
