To our clients, friends, industry, and community:
While the COVID-19 (the “Virus”) continues to affect our local communities, businesses, schools, daily life, and people of the world, Vernis & Bowling remains fully operational, but cautious. We are proactively taking preventative measures to promote the safety of our employees while continuing to provide services without disruption to our clients.
We are taking a multifaceted approach to ensure business continuity for all of our clients while also being responsible in our actions to slow the transmission of COVID-19 for our employees, our families, and our communities.
- Client Focused Service Continues: Vernis & Bowling attorneys and staff remain focused on proactively representing our clients, and adapting to any changes we encounter. We strive to update our clients as immediately as possible about any delays, changes, or opportunities that may arise in this environment.
- Eliminated/Reduced Travel: We have instructed employees to further utilize our current technology to operate virtual meetings, depositions, and, as available, hearings and mediations. We are also partnering with litigation services vendors to further utilize technology that they provide as well.
- Workplace Preparations: We are focused on maintaining social distancing and best sanitary practices in our workplaces for those attorneys and staff who are on site. We are following protocols recommended by the CDC and will continue to monitor for recommendations and updates.
- Business Continuity Planning (BCP): We have an ongoing and comprehensive BCP in place to support your continued access to the resources and services you require. With our geographic footprint across Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, we already were operating with multiple redundancies for data security, remote options for our team, and coverage for the hurricanes, winter weather, and other natural challenges we face.
- Remote Workforce: Our attorneys and professional staff are equipped to work remotely as needed. This is a normal work practice for Vernis & Bowling and you will see no change in our ability to maintain the level of service to which you are accustomed.
We are committed to seamlessly continuing our business operations and ensuring that you will continue to receive our renowned levels of results and service, whether we are working remotely or in our socially distanced offices. We remain committed to our fundamental philosophy of providing exceptional, cost-effective, personal representation to their clients by experienced, highly qualified personnel.
Please know that our clients, families, friends, colleagues, our communities are in our thoughts and prayers. We know the impact will be felt differently across industries and those who depend upon them. Please join us in promoting safe behavior, flattening the curve, and preparing to rebound from this trying time.
We will continue to actively monitor the situation in our communities and courts and will share updates as needed. Thank you for your continued support.
